Engagement Models
Flexible structures. Clear accountability. Defensible outcomes.
eMOBINO works with organizations through engagement models designed to match the nature, maturity, urgency, and sensitivity of each challenge.
There is no single “best” model.
What matters is selecting the right level of involvement, authority, and execution responsibility.
Our engagement models are designed to remain:
-
transparent,
-
scalable,
-
and defensible over time.
The models described below are not limited to the listed examples and may be combined when required.
3E as a Service
Executive. Expert. Engineer. Accessed when needed. Governed as one.
3E as a Service is eMOBINO’s core engagement framework.
It provides structured access to leadership judgment, expert technical direction, and hands-on engineering execution without forcing organizations into rigid staffing or consulting models.
The three layers are clearly separated by responsibility, not hierarchy.
Executive as a Service
Leadership support when decisions cannot wait for certainty.
Executive as a Service is designed for moments when technology, risk, and scale intersect at the leadership level.
This role focuses on decision quality, not operational execution.
Typical engagements include, but are not limited to:
-
Temporary CTO or Chief Engineer roles
-
Strategic advisory to C-level executives and founders
-
Independent board member or board advisory positions
-
Technology governance during growth, restructuring, or recovery phases
-
Escalation support during delays, supplier exits, or critical failures
-
Pre-investment or post-investment technical decision support
This role is frequently delivered directly to:
-
boards of directors,
-
investment committees,
-
and executive leadership teams.
Commercial model: Monthly fixed-fee engagements with clearly defined scope, authority boundaries, and objectives.
Expert as a Service
Independent technical authority. Direction, not execution.
Expert as a Service provides on-demand access to senior technical expertise focused on judgment, framing, and guidance.
The expert does not replace internal teams.
The expert reviews, challenges, and steers them toward robust and defensible solutions.
Typical contributions include, but are not limited to:
-
Technology strategy across mobility, battery, and energy domains
-
System architecture guidance and design governance
-
Independent third-eye design and concept reviews
-
Risk identification and mitigation direction
-
Interpretation of test, simulation, and validation results
-
Functional safety, compliance, and system-level readiness direction
-
Sensitive advisory for field incidents and critical failures
All expert engagements are handled with strict confidentiality, especially when safety, failures, or reputational exposure is involved.
Commercial model: Monthly starter packages with optional hourly-based extensions.
Engineer as a Service
Execution capacity without long-term staffing risk.
Engineer as a Service delivers engineering execution through a curated expert network, coordinated and governed by eMOBINO.
This model enables organizations to access real design and development capability without permanent headcount commitments. Typical activities include, but are not limited to:
-
Software and hardware development
(BMS, VCU, power electronics, embedded systems) -
Functional safety–compliant design elevation
(BMS, VCU, system level) -
Design validation planning and DVP definition
-
Simulation, modeling, and performance analysis
-
Root-cause analysis and DFMEA support
-
Validation documentation and engineering deliverables
Depending on the context, eMOBINO may act as:
-
safety engineering authority,
-
technical auditor,
-
or independent engineering inspector.
Commercial model: Monthly starter packages with optional hourly-based extensions. Project-based or time-based, depending on scope and complexity.
Project & Workpackage-Based Engagements
Defined scope. Measurable outcomes. Clear closure.
For well-defined needs, eMOBINO delivers structured engineering or advisory workpackages.
These engagements focus on closure, not open-ended effort.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
-
Architecture and design review workpackages
-
Functional safety and compliance workpackages
-
Validation and readiness workpackages
-
Interface definition and system decomposition
-
Engineering closure and launch support
Commercial model: Fixed-price or milestone-based.
IP-, Product-, and Solution-Based Engagements
When value goes beyond services.
In selected cases, eMOBINO may engage through:
-
Licensing of internally developed software or hardware IP
-
Product-based solutions integrated into customer platforms
-
Royalty or long-term collaboration models
These engagements are evaluated case by case and require strong strategic alignment.
Custom Training & Leadership Programs
Capability built around real challenges, not generic slides.
Beyond execution and advisory, eMOBINO supports organizations in building internal capability and leadership confidence.
Programs are always customized and may include:
-
Executive technology literacy sessions
-
Engineering leadership coaching
-
Domain-specific technical training
-
Safety, validation, and systems thinking workshops
-
Custom playbooks and internal toolkits
These programs are designed around the organization’s reality, not generic curricula.
Commercial Model: Custom Training & Leadership Programs are delivered through tailored engagements, structured around the organization’s objectives, audience profile, and depth of required transformation. Programs are typically offered as:
-
Fixed-fee modules for clearly defined sessions or workshops
-
Program-based engagements for multi-session capability build-up
-
Blended formats, combining workshops, mentoring, and follow-up support
Scope, duration, and commercial terms are defined upfront, ensuring clarity, flexibility, and alignment with organizational priorities.
Commercial Principles
All engagement models follow the same principles:
-
Clear accountability and governance
-
Transparent scope and pricing
-
Flexible combination of engagement types
-
Single point of responsibility
-
Absolute discretion and confidentiality
For complex or sensitive challenges, engagement models may be combined to ensure both strategic clarity and technical closure.
There is only the right level of authority, expertise, and execution for the problem at hand.
That is what our engagement models are designed to deliver.
Let’s Discuss Your Challenge
Every challenge is different. Some require strategic direction, others demand independent expert judgment or hands-on engineering execution.
At eMOBINO, we work with leaders, teams, and organizations across mobility, battery, and energy domains, adapting each engagement to real-world complexity and decision pressure.
When clarity, discretion, and experience matter, this is the right place to start.
